L. Brown is a partner with the law firm
Smith & Hale L specializing in zoning, land
use and municipal law. He has been with the
firm since 1979. Mr. Brown has been involved
in the zoning of major Central Ohio development
projects such as Easton Town Center, OSU/Campus
Partner's Gateway, and Tuttle Mall. Mr. Brown
appears on a regular basis before the Columbus
Graphics Commission, Columbus Development Commission,
and Columbus City Council as well as other city
and township entities. He has extensive experience
working with Central Ohio Civic Associations
and Columbus Area Commissions.
Not
all of Mr. Brown's work has involved large-scale
projects. For example, recently he used his
expertise to assist The Wellington School with
its expansion program. On a regular basis Mr.
Brown works with developers, small business
owners, churches, non-profit organizations,
and homeowners to resolve zoning and land use
issues. His goal is always to communicate with
each client, the pertinent government entities,
civic association, and if applicable, the neighbors
to create the optimum result for all parties.
Jeff
Brown is a graduate of the Columbus Academy
(1972), The University of Virginia (1976), and
Capital University Law School (1979). He is
licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Florida.
He is a member of the Columbus Bar Association
Admissions Committee. Mr. Brown has lectured
on land use law and the zoning process to various
legal and real estate groups and civic associations.
